Jo is continuing her travels through South Australia and is soon heading up the middle to Alice Springs. What a great trip - and time of year to do it!
Back in March she was in Mt Gambier. Always on the lookout for Rotary projects, many are found.
Rotary Wishing Well - A Wish A Coin A Worthwhile Deed Will Help Another Soul In Need.
After Mt Gambier the next place visited was Goolwa.
Here Rotary has installed a board for local advertising. Helping people stay in touch with their community.
In late March Jo was in Victor Harbor, still in South Australia, and not far from the mouth of the Murray River.
Here she found another wishing well. This one dates from 1950.
The next area of note was in the Barossa Valley, north of Adelaide. Here she found a garden sponsored by the Rotary Club of Adelaide. It is a fine example of what an Aussie home would look like if only native plants were used.

Note the young Grass Tree with its flower spikes, and the gum leaf in the ground.

Travelling further north Jo arrived at Wilpena Pound, in the Flinders Ranges north of Port Augusta. Wilpena Pound is part of ancient volcanoes.
Two Rotary Districts have combined here in a project to assist local birds find places to nest.
From here Jo is heading north towards Alice Springs. We look forward to more of her reports and photos.
